  • Tyson and Jones share engaging draw

The two prominent boxing stars shocked the audience after reminding them that they still have more left in their tanks in eight rounds of the comeback fight.

'This is better than fighting for championships, ' Tyson said of the heavyweight exhibition, which raised money for various charities. "We're humanitarians now. We can do something good for the world". He added that he wants to get in the ring again soon.

He returned to the boxing ring from the exhibition bout against Jones Jr.

Jones said: "When he hits you, to the head, punches to the body shots, everything hurts". All it takes is one punch from either one of us for something to happen.

"My opinion? I would have given it to Mike but I like the fact it was a draw and there were two winners". "Maybe we can do it again".

For the first time in 15 years, Tyson looked aggressive inside the ring with his signature black trunks and punches.

The latter rapper's commentary, and smoking of a suspicious-looking substance on camera, lit up Twitter after he said the main event was "like two of my uncles fighting at the barbecue". The World Boxing Council (WBC) supported, commemorated and scored the four-hour live event at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. Fans were clearly enamoured, with the show getting enormous traction on social media.

Tyson, who became the youngest heavyweight boxing champion at the age of 20, still surprised everyone with his impeccable footwork and stamina, even at 54. Paul, who went up against former basketball player Nate Robinson, bested the player by knockout in the second round.

BC reports 46 deaths, 2,077 cases over grim weekend
Officials declared five more health-care outbreaks as well, at Mountainview Village, Fleetwood Villa, Lakeview Care Centre, St. There have been 46 new COVID-19 related deaths, for a total of 441 deaths in British Columbia.

There were no official judges for the fight, instead three former boxers gave their verdict. As it turned out, I felt it was Tyson who looked quicker and more agile as Jones appeared to be more lethargic for most of the competition.

Before the match, conventional thinking would have given Jones the quickness advantage as he competed in lighter weight classes than Tyson while both fighters were in the respective primes.

After many years of inactivity in the sports, Tyson was handed a huge $10 million pay for the pay-per-view event.

Preparing for another invitation from Tyson, Jones braced himself to receive more hits as he survived the hard-fought round in the hands of the co-veteran. The next step in the coming months will be to find an opponent. Jones Jr. won his last bout in 2018 against Scott Sigmon.

Tyson said, "Why nobody care about my ass?"

Tyson and Jones negotiated with the California commission over the limitations of their bout, eventually arriving at eight two-minute rounds of hard sparring with only ceremonial judging and no official victor.

Their fight was only an exhibition, and it ended in a draw.
