Blackpink to play livestreamed concert on YouTube

"The Album" is very successful, topping many charts worldwide and giving BLACKPINK the distinction of being the first K-pop girl group to have sold more than one million physical albums.

The livestream will include first-time performances of several songs from 'The Album, ' which was released earlier this year in October.

The concert occurs on December 27 at 2 PM KST through YouTube. It also featured a silkscreen of what looks to be the event's logo, that of a shot of Earth with a pink crown on top. The group is expected to hold a live YouTube session on Friday to talk to their fans about the upcoming concert. Their premiere concert for the brand will express YG's concert knowledge and execution skills.

They wrapped up their first world tour in February but were forced to conduct all promotional activities for the rest of the year in South Korea due to Covid-19 restrictions on travel and large gatherings.

BLACKPINK recently asserted their leading position in the global music market, amassing many achievements with their promotions for THE ALBUM. It also became number 2 in the Billboard 200, becoming the highest-charting album from a female group.

Meanwhile, BLACKPINK ticket reservations are already underway.

Members of Blackpink, Jennie, Jisoo, Lisa and Rosé, will also go live on its YouTube channel on Thursday at 9 p.m. PT to personally introduce "The Show" to their fans.

Fans finally know what YG Entertainment has been hinting about in the past few weeks.
