Ce modèle économique " hybride " annoncé par Warner Bros ne s'appliquera dans l'immédiat qu'aux Etats-Unis, le service HBO Max n'étant disponible dans d'autres pays qu'à partir de l'an prochain. Tous les films de Warner Bros. sortiront uniquement en salles sur le territoire canadien, comme dans tous les autres territoires internationaux.

"Warner a effectué un virage serré qui pourrait changer l'industrie pour toujours", estime l'expert, interrogé par l'AFP. Alors que le film de Patty Jenkins doit avoir droit à une sortie simultanée au cinéma et sur HBO Max aux Etats-Unis, Variety nous informe que cette stratégie sera appliquée par Warner Bros. à l'ensemble de son planning cinéma de 2021.
