L'OMS "fera tout" pour connaître l'origine du virus

La pandémie de coronavirus a déjà provoqué la mort d'au moins 1.465.000 personnes dans le monde, plus de 63 millions de contaminations ont été enregistrées et pourtant, le mystère demeure toujours sur l'origine de la maladie.

Afin de remonter aux origines du Covid-19, l'Organisation mondiale de la Santé (OMS) a déclaré avoir monté une équipe internationale.

La patron de l'OMS a estimé lundi que le Mexique "était en mauvaise posture face à l'épidémie de Covid-19 dans le pays qui a vu le nombre de cas et de morts doubler entre mi et fin novembre".

Si les scientifiques pensent que l'hôte originel du virus est une chauve-souris, on ne connaît pas l'animal intermédiaire qui a permis la contamination humaine.

Le directeur général de l'OMS a souligné que le Brésil avait réussi à faire baisser de deux tiers quasiment le nombre de cas depuis le pic atteint en juillet, avec 114.000 cas lors de la semaine du 2 novembre.
