Munster's January Champions Cup fixtures "temporarily suspended"

EPCR and its Ligue Nationale de Rugby counterparts took part in an audio conference with representatives of the French ministries of the Interior, Health and Sport, as well as of the President's office, last week in which update protocols were presented.

Another option could be for EPCR to scrap planned home and away Champions Cup quarter-final ties, finish the pool stage on those weekends in early April instead and then move straight to semi-finals.

The two premiership competitions have been temporarily suspended.

"We have four weekends now scheduled over the month of April and May, but have six weekends required to finish the season".

"This really will be for the government to decide, and I'm saying that because we have recently modified our protocols in light of some of the events that happened in round 2, in such a way that the protocol becomes compliant with what we know today of the French governments regulations".
