Razer updates Razer Blade laptops with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs

Nvidia has added yet another affordable GPU to its GeForce RTX 30-series lineup.

Dell has announced that it is updating the Alienware m15 R4 and m17 R4 with the new GeForce RTX 30-series GPU.

Spec-wise for the GeForce RTX 3060, NVIDIA has enabled a total of 28 SM units on it which results in a total of 3584 CUDA cores, 112 TMUs. It is said to outperform the former GeForce RTX 2080 chipsets found in laptops that cost around $2,500 while the new chip will be included in devices with starting price of $1,000. They will be available in Lunar Light and Dark Side of the Moon colour options.

NVIDIA said the first RTX 3080- and RTX 3070-equipped laptops will be available to buy starting on January 26th, with RTX 3060 laptops to follow at a later date. The Alienware Aurora Ryzen Edition R10 desktop starts from $1,079.99 (roughly Rs 79,000). There is no information on global availability yet. The Dell Alienware m15 and m17 still run on the Intel 10th Gen CPUs.

The version we're most excited about is the $2,499 model that combines an 8-core processor and Nvidia RTX 3070 graphics with a 2560 x 1440 resolution IPS display with a 240Hz refresh rate.

Nvidia RTX 30-series GPUs offer unbelievable RTX performance at about half the price of the previous-gen RTX 20-series and GTX GPUs. Both the models pack an 86Wh battery and use vapour chamber cooling as part of Alienware Cryo-Tech cooling technology designs. "We make more and more than we've ever made before, and launched with more than we've ever launched with before, and they still are very hard for folks to come by, and of course that's super frustrating for people", Nvidia representative noted, according to ZDNet.
