Barkley said during the "NBA on TNT" broadcast that pro athletes should get the first round of the vaccine. "National Football League players, hockey players", Barkley said.

Barkley noted he personally believes 1,000 vaccines to National Basketball Association players would not take away from at-risk or elderly people who could benefit more from the vaccine. and claims his plan would keep the season alive. "That's just my personal opinion", Barkley said Thursday on TNT's "Inside the National Basketball Association".

Colleague Kenny Smith asked Barkley. We need 300 million shots. "Listen: "as much taxes as these players pay â€" let me repeat that â€" as much taxes as these players pay, they deserve some preferential treatment".

"For life and death?" "But I'm saying, giving a thousand shots to National Basketball Association players is not going to change the world".
