Katie Price has told of her heartbreak after deciding it would best for her disabled son Harvey if he went into full-time care.

Harvey, 18, suffers from partial blindness, Prader-Willi syndrome, autism and learning and behavioural difficulties as a result of a rare genetic disorder.

Katie, who has raised Harvey mostly as a single mother, said it breaks her hear, but gives him the best chance to have an independent life.

Now, Katie is hoping Harvey will be admitted to National Star, a college for students with disabilities in England, and will find out in March if he's been accepted.

She's anxious how Harvey will react when she isn't there to comfort him when he needs her, but Katie says: "I need to learn to let go but it's tough..."

She added: "This is his chance to live an independent life, learn skills and socialise with people other than me. I'am so proud of him, he has feelings, and so do I". "I need to get him the help he deserves because he will die if he doesn't exercise".

Katie explained that Harvey will be "three hours away" and the fact she won't be able to get to him all the time upsets her, as she has her other kids to care for.
