  • Rosamund Pike’s help comes at a price in Netflix’s darkly comedic crime thriller I Care a Lot 3

The first trailer for the film from writer-director J Blakeson (The Disappearance of Alice Creed, The 5th Wave) showcases Rosamund Pike, Dianne Wiest, and Peter Dinklage all coming together for what looks like an insane romp about crime and messing with the wrong people.

Nasty-ass fun. Pike is always great playing wholly unlikeable villains, Chris Messina's always good (and pretty to look at), and Dinklage is the one Game of Thrones castmember who really deserves a breakout career above all the others. She gets her partner (professionally and romantically) Fran (Eiza González) to run a background check with help from police contacts and calls an emergency trial with Judge Lomax (Isiah Whitlock Jr.) if their assumptions can be corroborated. It is produced by Teddy Schwarzman through his banner Black Bear and Blakeson's Sugar November, alongside Ben Stillman and Michael Heimler, with Sacha Guttenstein executive producing the project.

The film originally premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival previous year.

Pike, best known for her Oscar-nominated role in David Fincher's 2014 "Gone Girl" plays a corrupt court-appointed guardian Marla Grayson who uses the law to the benefit of herself by draining the savings of her elderly clients. I Care A Lot hits February 19 on Netflix.

Together with her business-partner and lover Fran (Eiza González), they set their sights on their latest "cherry", Jennifer Peterson (two-time Academy Award victor Dianne Wiest) - a wealthy retiree with no living heirs or family. But when Jennifer turns out to have an equally shady secret of her own, along with connections to a loose cannon of a gangster (played by Peter Dinklage), Marla has to up her game.
