Netflix Acquires Global Rights for Gal Gadot's Heart of Stone

  • Heart of Stone: Netflix Wins Global Rights to Gal Gadot-Led Spy Thriller

Gal Gadot will star in Heart of Stone, a spy movie to be released soon on Netflix. Last Tuesday, in fact, Amazon Studios acquired the distribution rights of The Tomorrow War, sci-fi title starring Chris Pratt (Guardians of the Galaxy, Jurassic World).

Although, "The Tomorrow War" has been completely shot and is being completely purchased by Amazon, Gadot starrer "Heart of Stone" is in early stages of production and has not been shot yet. Plot details about the film are still being kept under wraps but the outlet's sources described the project as something similar to blockbuster action franchises like James Bond and Mission: Impossible.

Tom Harper, best known for "The Aeronauts" and "Wild Rose", is directing the global action epic from a screenplay by Greg Rucka and Allison Schroeder. It will be produced by David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger along with Gadot, Jaron Varsano, Bonnie Curtis, and Julie Lynn through their Pilot Wave banner.

Skydance has been an active seller during the pandemic, recently auctioning off upcoming animated features "Luck" and "Spellbound" to Apple.
