Mohammad Amir, the former Pakistan fast bowler, has lashed out at the team management, asking to end the "scary" dressing room culture in their national team.
Talking to media in Lahore, the 28-year-old said that he was not dropped due to his performance as claimed by the team management. "Put an end to this scary environment in the dressing room, these very players will win you matches", Amir was quoted as saying in Times Now. The Gujjar Khan-born stated that if performances were a criterion, then the management should tell him why was he dropped after picking up 21 wickets in the 2019-20 Bangladesh Premier League. "They suggest me to come back after giving performance in domestic cricket, I'll suggest them to first correct their own performances", he said.
After the snub, Malik had stayed on but Amir announced that he will not play under Misbah and Waqar Younis.
Amir also took a dig at coaches for the recent series losses against New Zealand.
Last month, left-arm pacer Mohammad Amir had shocked the cricket world by announcing his retirement from worldwide crickets saying he was leaving the world of cricket due to "torture" and an environment created by the Pakistan team management that is "pushing him away". "I felt hurt, too, when he made statements about my decision to retire from Test cricket".

Iran begins research, development of uranium metal
On Wednesday, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo said the US was imposing sanctions on two organizations controlled by Iran's supreme leader.
The two players were then also excluded from the 35-man squad announced for the New Zealand tour.
"They are saying Misbah and Waqar have got nothing personal against me but I know what is personal and how I was sidelined slowly", he said.
Amir said he faced mental torture after reading statements from Misbah and Waqar where they blamed him and said he let down the team for the defeat in Australia.
"The environment that has been created, I feel that I can not play cricket under this management", said Amir. "But Covid-19 affected all teams, not just Pakistan".
