L'agence officielle nord-coréenne KCNA a assuré, ce vendredi, lors de la retransmission en différé d'un gigantesque défilé militaire organisé en présence de Kim Jong-un, dans le centre de Pyongyang, que son pays disposait désormais ainsi de " l'arme la plus puissante du monde ".

Le défilé de jeudi a eu lieu pour célébrer la conclusion du huitième congrès du Parti des travailleurs.

Cette démonstration de force intervient quelques jours avant l'investiture du nouveau président américain Joe Biden, prévue le 20 janvier.

"La véritable intention de leur politique envers la RPDC ne changera jamais, quel que soit celui qui arrivera au pouvoir", a estimé M. Kim, utilisant l'acronyme du nom officiel du pays, la République populaire démocratique de Corée.

Les programmes militaires nord-coréens ont progressé rapidement depuis que Kim Jong Un est au pouvoir. Par ailleurs, plusieurs points d'ombre se situent autour de la nouvelle arme, et aucun expert n'est en mesure d'affirmer si le missile balistique a été testé au pas.

La tête d'affiche, cependant, était le nouveau missile balistique (SLBM) - que le média d'état KCNA dit être "l'arme la plus puissante du monde ".
