Tomori’s future is at Chelsea, Lampard insists

They have held talks with Chelsea and look to have all but agreed a deal to sign Tomori, who is down the pecking order at Stamford Bridge.

The deal is likely to be based on a loan and all eyes will be on whether AC Milan have any option to keep the defender on a permanent basis.

However, things haven't been as smooth for the 23-year-old this term, playing just 45 Premier League minutes all season.

Chelsea head coach Frank Lampard on Thursday insisted that Tomori does have a long-term future at the club, but that has not put Milan off pursuing a deal.

'Fikayo Tomori absolutely has a long-term future at this club, and we'll see if and when he goes on loan, ' said Lampard ahead of his side's clash against Fulham on Saturday.
