The 10-time Grammy-winning singer, 39, confessed to being anxious about how his and his wife's fame will affect their kids' relationships and friendships.
While chatting with Dax Shepard on the Armchair Expert podcast, JT explained that the main reason he and his wife have been out of the spotlight is that their two sons, 5 year old Silas and their newest addition to the family, Phineas, can have normal childhoods! They are a couple, parents to son Silas, 5, and Phineas, who is nearly a year old.
Justin said, "I try to be mindful to make sure that we can live a life where we're not strangely private, but we are mindful of making sure that they can be kids for as long as possible".
'And not have the weight of somebody else treating them differently because of something that their parents do'.

"I have that great fear that kids are going to hang out with them exclusively because of [our careers] or resent them because of that", said Shepard, who said he had to tell his daughters not to reveal their mom's connection the Frozen franchise because they could possibly "make other kids jealous and they won't know how to handle that feeling". They both said that they tell their children not to reveal this detail to other children.
"The kids at school with my five-year-old are like, 'Your dad is Branch," the 10-time Grammy victor explained. "For guys like us, you know, the hope is that we just keep instilling in them that we got really fun jobs, but it's not who we are".
