The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not return as working members of the Royal Family, Buckingham Palace has said.
The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry, is self-isolating at his home in California to prevent himself from contracting COVID-19, since he might need to get to the United Kingdom soon if the situation with his grandfather, Prince Philip, worsens, The Mirror reported Thursday.
In a statement, Buckingham Palace added that Harry and Meghan will hand over various patronages and honorary military titles.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will "likely" lose their Queen Elizabeth-Appointed royal patronages as soon as next month, according to People.
A spokesperson for the Duke and Duchess said: "As evidenced by their work over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the United Kingdom and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organisations they have represented regardless of official role".
Meghan was also handed several honorary roles after she Wednesday Harry in a fairytale ceremony at Windsor Castle in May, 2018.

Since then, they have launched their own media ventures, and announced earlier this week that they will take part in an interview with Oprah Winfrey - their first sit-down appearance since leaving London.
The announcement comes days after the couple, who now live in California, revealed they are expecting their second child.
A spokesperson for the couple hit back at suggestions that Meghan and Harry were not devoted to duty.
"As evidenced by their work over the past year, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain committed to their duty and service to the United Kingdom and around the world, and have offered their continued support to the organisations they have represented regardless of official role", the spokesperson said in a statement.
