This is the government-authorized hotel for quarantined passengers in Vancouver

Nightly rates at the Alt Hotel Toronto Airport and the Sheraton Gateway Hotel at Toronto Pearson International Airport, two of the hotels named Friday as participants in the government quarantine program, start at $339 and $319, respectively, for a single person being quarantined, employees answering the phone at those hotels said.

According to the government's quarantine hotel webpage, prices of these hotel stopovers may vary by location and include costs associated with the food, room, security, transportation and infection prevention and control measures.

As of Monday, all air travellers returning from non-essential global trips will have to isolate in one of the approved facilities, at their own expense, for up to 72 hours while they await the results of a polymerase chain reaction test (commonly known as a PCR test) taken upon arrival.

The Acclaim and Marriot hotels are authorized in Calgary and there are four approved hotels in both Ontario and Quebec.

Earlier this month, the federal government implemented stricter travel measures requiring all air travellers bound for Canada to present a pre-departure negative COVID-19 test in order to fly.

The federal government announced brand new travel restrictions last month aimed at mitigating virus spread, especially of new COVID-19 variants of concern, including a mandatory three-day quarantine period at an approved hotel while waiting for PCR test results.
