Trump has mostly remained quiet since leaving office, outside of putting out a few official statements, including one that attacked Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell for saying Trump bears responsibility for the Capitol Insurrection on January 6.

Trump will be giving his first post-White House speech later this month, a source familiar with the plan was quoted by news agency AFP.

The full lineup of the annual gathering of conservative lawmakers and media figures has not yet been announced, but Trump is expected to close out the program on February 28th, the last day of the event, according to NBC News, who spoke with two sources familiar with the plans. CPAC is one of the largest annual gatherings of political conservatives - one that trump regularly participates in and enjoys.

Trump in his speech will discuss the future of the Republican Party, a source told the outlet, and will also criticize Biden's "disastrous amnesty and border policies".

He has also been stripped off his accounts on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

"Mitch is a dour, sullen, and unsmiling political hack, and if Republican Senators are going to stay with him, they will not win again", Trump said in a statement.

Trump has expressed anger at the 17 Republicans in the House of Representatives and Senate who voted to impeach or convict him, and on Tuesday he aimed his rhetorical fire at Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, the nation's most senior elected Republican.
