The forecast from FOX 17 Meteorologist Erik Kostrzewa: We will slowly dry out today after a morning round of showers and storms.

The Eastern half - Temperature: Fine and cool, but partly cloudy in the south, becoming cloudy with rain from the afternoon.

A chance of showers is projected for the day and night Friday, with highs in the upper 60s and lows in the low 50s. A weak weather system will bring cooler, wet weather late Monday into Tuesday. Highs will be in the mid and upper 60s.

TODAY: Mostly cloudy to partly sunny and warm with a few showers and thundershowers mainly this morning. Highs near 70. South/southwest winds at 10 to 15 miles per hour. Rain chances will be completely absent until next weekend as high pressure settles off the east coast. Southeast winds at 5-15 miles per hour.
