Congressional Democrats Reportedly Plan Bill to Expand Supreme Court

Some House and Senate Democrats are ramping up the political battle over the Supreme Court, introducing a bill Thursday to expand the court from 9 to 13 seats, a move many Republicans have rejected as risky "court packing".

Jerry Nadler (D-N.Y.) is trailed by reporters following a press conference where he was appointed as one of seven House managers for U.S. President Donald Trump's impeachment trial at the U.S. Capitol January 15, 2020 in Washington, D.C. "But the logic behind having only nine justices is much weaker today, when there are 13 circuits".
