Covid-19 Vaccine Coordinating Minister Khairy also said that JKJAV will review applications for shorter dosage intervals on a case by case basis, such as for those who are going overseas.

Khairy said Malaysia will have steady supply of the AstraZeneca vaccine, with 1.1 million doses scheduled to arrive this month from the COVAX facility, 610,000 doses from AstraZeneca itself in June, 410,000 doses in July, and 1.2 million doses arriving in August and September.

Khairy was also reported as saying that the Special Committee on Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee (JKJAV) will roll out the same initiatives in other states pending further deliveries of AstraZeneca vaccine.

AstraZeneca did not immediately respond to Reuters' request for a comment.
