48 heures après un double homicide dans le village des Plantiers (Gard), la gendarmerie a lancé un appel à témoins pour retrouver l'auteur présumé des faits.

"Valentin, c'est papa, je t'aime, on t'aime, (.) nous sommes tous avec toi, bisous, papa", a lancé Frédéric Marcone, dans un message audio transmis via la gendarmerie à son fils de 29 ans, caché dans la forêt cévenole depuis mardi, après avoir abattu son patron et un de ses collègues dans la scierie où il travaillait, dans le village des Plantiers (Gard).

"Valentin Marcone a pris la fuite à pied".

Cet appel à témoins, accompagné d'une photo d'un homme à l'apparence très jeune, cheveux châtain très courts et fines lunettes, décrit le fuyard comme de type européen, de taille (1,70 m) et de corpulence moyennes, vêtu d'un treillis vert et d'une veste de camouflage avec capuche.

Cette diffusion a pour objectif que "tous les locaux, tous les gens de la région susceptibles de croiser sa route restent prudents et n'agissent surtout pas de leur propre chef". Un énorme dispositif, composés de dizaines de gendarmes, d'hélicoptères, de drones ou encore d'un chien aux grandes capacités de pistage olfactif, est en place pour tenter de retrouver cet homme de 29 ans, soupçonné d'être lourdement armé.
