Individuals who have not been vaccinated should continue to wear masks, DeWine said in a release Friday.

Juneau Mayor Beth Weldon made the announcement on the KINY Morning Show and said that the Juneau Emergency Operations Center had met Thursday to revise the community risk mitigation measures.

In states where there is a mask mandate, Costco said they "will follow the state or local regulations and continue to require members and guests to wear a face mask or face shield".

"I believe there are lots of people who won't use the mask even if they aren't vaccinated", he added.

The new guidelines could also intensify a backlash from workers who say they don't need the masks, he said.
