Hospitalizations were little changed Monday, with 42 people hospitalized with COVID-19 in Clark County, down from 43 on Friday, and two people hospitalized awaiting test results, the same as on Friday, according to Public Health data.

According to the DOH COVID-19 Vaccine Dashboard, 66.2% of New Mexicans over age 16 have had at least one dose of the vaccine; 56.7%, or 952,746, are fully vaccinated.

Of the new cases, 70 are in the Vancouver Coastal Health region, 285 are in the Fraser Health region, nine are in the Island Health region, 101 are in the Interior Health region and 15 are in the Northern Health region.

There are now 2,102 active cases of COVID-19 in the province, and a further 141,663 people who tested positive have recovered.

Dr. Réka Gustafson says B.C. recorded 481 cases of COVID-19 and 12 deaths over three days while 199 people are in hospital.

Gustafson says B.C. may soon be moving from mounting an emergency response against COVID-19 to managing it as another communicable disease through local public health-care providers.

To date, a total of 1,569,480 vaccine doses have been administered statewide.

We are doing very well here in B.C. Cases are declining and we are on track with our provincewide COVID-19 immunization targets.

Two additional deaths that occurred more than 30 days ago also were reported, raising the state's death toll to 4,286, the New Mexico Department of Health said. "The most important thing is to get that second dose".

"We are on a good path to get back to work, to university, to seeing friends and travelling, resuming all of those connections that are so important to all of us".
