Blood samples taken from 1,556 school staff showed 2.3 per cent tested positive for antibodies to the virus that causes COVID-19, mirroring the number of positive tests from a matching group of donors who did not work in schools.

There were 15 new cases today in Interior Health, as well as 18 in Fraser Health, 12 in Vancouver Coastal Health, seven in Northern Health, three in Island Health and one in a person who resides out of province.

Just over the weekend, health officials have reported 229 COVID-19 cases in the past three days, bringing the total number of active cases to 1204.

To date, 77.7% of all adults 18 and over in BC and 76.2% of those 12 and older have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
